WHAT DON'T YOU LIKE ABOUT ME?

As a fun inversion of the newest meme trend, why don't you tell each other what it is you don't like about one another? Why aren't the two of you dating? What's standing in the way of the two of you becoming best friends?

Do you just not like blondes? Is it something about the way they carry themselves that totally turns you off?

And, more importantly, what can they do to fix it??

HOW to JOIN

  • Post your character with some preferences!
  • Other characters come along and tell you what is they don't like about you. This could be in regards to anything — appearance, attitude, personality, beliefs, etc.
    • If they're really nice, they might even tell you how you can improve!
  • Learn, grow, prosper! This is all IC and all in good fun!

Run away with me, leave it in the rearview mirror

Run Away Together Meme

The two of you have decided to run away together. Bottom line, you've come up with that plan and you've worked up the guts and the means to do it. The most obvious source of a desire to leave together is a romance you can't have until you're gone from this place. It's like all the eloping that happened in those epics of old. How charmingly beautiful! How romantic! Who says the old ways have gone out of style?

But other reasoning behind the decision could be from the serious - you both want to escape imprisonment, an oppressive atmosphere, or a miserable destiny - to the more lighthearted. Maybe an adventure is just what you need, where you'll finally get to see the world...and, slowly, fall in love. Because that's what the crux of all this is: even if the escape started out as mere convenience, you both want to stay close and work together. In the end, when you've finally run where you want to be and the danger, if any, has passed, you may find you don't want to go your separate ways.

  • Comment with your character, preferences, and why your character would run away alongside someone.
  • Reply to others.
  • Run, run away, and never return. Or do.

found a place; it's massive in there.

Hallways*: a free form horror meme

Wherever you meant to go is not where you are. When you look back, there is no door.

A hallway stretches out in front of you, with branching corridors and closed doors as far as the eye can see. There are hints of other people around - sounds and voices of others who have found themselves trapped in this space, or those who were originally here. Not everyone is friendly.

Just remember: any door you go through will cease to exist. You must go forwards to get out.

So, will you make it?

*It doesn't have to be a hallway, you might end up in a kitchen that tries to eat you, or knee deep in water of a basement somewhere when you were just on the 18th story.

keep telling yourself that, champ.

Good or bad?

Where does your character fall on the spectrum? More specifically, where does your character THINK they fall on the spectrum? After all, everyone thinks they're the hero of their own story.

We as viewers/readers might be able to clearly tell that this unrepentant murderer is the bad guy, but they might not think so. Maybe they think they're justified? On the flip-side, maybe your absolute, hard-working do-gooder still believes they're not doing good enough. It's all about perspective, and how characters view themselves.

  • No blank top-levels.
  • "Are you good or bad?"
    • That's what characters are being asked.
    • Their answer? You tell us!

The kindred

master / fledgling

In most vampire media, the relationship between maker and fledglings is many things: parental, sibling, an apprenticeship, even antagonistic. Just as often, there's a romantic undertone, as well.

For what could connect anyone more than the sharing of blood, of the dark gift?

  • Comment with your character, preferences, etc.
  • Reply to others.
  • Thread. Use the prompts, or not.

† UNDEFINED → The nature of your bond is complex and unclear to outsiders. Perhaps even to both of you, as well.
† DYSFUNCTIONAL → There's a lot of bad blood between you, yet you can't hate each other fully.
† FORBIDDEN → Any sort of relationship beyond the vampiric-familial would be frowned upon by both human society and the underworld.
† LOVERS → Why not? No one else will understand you like they do, and you probably won't have to worry about outliving them.

Attract what you want

MOST ATTRACTIVE FEATURE

✱ Comment with your character. Feel free to include a link to a picture of them at their best/most flattering/cutest/beautiful/handsome/most appealing/etc.
✱ Other characters are forced to ~~gently compelled~~ to admit the one part of yours they find the most attractive. Hair? Eyes? Muscles? That height? That mole? That ass...umption that they're a great person?
✱ Your character now has to flip all the scripts and fess up to others.
✱ Rinse. Repeat. Regret.
✱ Of course, if they're boring, some people might be drawn to a personality trait over a physical one.
✱ But that cute smile, tho. Lemme swoon.
